Here is a lesson that focuses on creating harmonized single-line melodies over a chord progression along the lines of the Allman Brothers’ “Melissa,” with harmonies built from the E Hexatonic major scale (E F# G# A B C#). Hope you dig it and drop me a line of you’d like to see more lessons on how to create harmomized guitar lines.

Thanks Andy,.. Definitely want more ideas to spring board off. I’m working on a jam that is similar to the Melissa video you posted, but I’m just working out two chords for now. It’s 2 bars of E Maj7 in the c position and a A13 in the same area as the E Maj7. If ya got ideas for a I IV vamp that would be great!…
Thanks!
I will shoot a vid of adding harmonized lines to yr chord progression and email a wetransfer link of it to you.
Andy
I’m emailing you the link to the video via wetransfer right now…chk it out.
