Here’s a musical tribute to the great British poet/lyricist Pete Brown, who sadly passed away at the age of 82 on May 19, 2023. Pete wrote the lyrics to so many seminal Cream songs, such as “White Room,” “I Feel Free,” “Sunshine Of Your Love” and many others, as well as the lyrics to the incredible “Theme From An Imaginary Western” and all of the songs on Jack Bruce’s early solo albums, ‘Songs For A Tailor” and “Harmony Row.” Those are Pete’s lyrics on the fantastic West, Bruce and Laing song, “Out IN The Fields” and he continued to write songs with Jack for decades. I got to interview and perform with Pete, which was a great honor. I hope you enjoy this tribute to him!
