Here is a demo of an original tune that was recorded about 15 years ago, called “Moonwaves.” About two minutes before hitting “record,” I showed the changes to the band–Richard Rosch, James Benard and Dennis Metzler–and thus ensued an insane 19-minute jam. Hope you dig it!
In honor of Pat’s passing, here is an interview I did with him back in 2013. He is truly one of the very greatest jazz musicians ever and he will continue to inspire and influence for decades to come.

Long time–too long! Glad everything is well with you and all the very best to the family. We have ONE gig booked right now–Stephen Talkhouse Friday May 7 at 8 pm–cmon down! Because of covid, you’ll have to email info@stephentalkhouse.com (Peter) and reserve seats, etc. They have 40-person limit inside but the outside bar will be open w a projection screen of the band.
Hope you can make it–and very glad you dug the book. It was a ton of work–three years–but I knew Stevie and he was a great guy and I was very glad for the opportunity to write it.
